I-League Team HAL Re-Signs Rohit Chand
Indian I-League team, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has re-signed Nepal International defender, Rohit Chand for I-League.
Chand was the player of HAL before joining the Nepal National team for FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in July 2011.
Chand was also linked with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur but the report was just a grapevine syndrome.
"We have signed him for remaining matches in I-League", Chief Operation Officer of HAL, Mr. Rajan told GoalNepal.com from India.
"We are happy to welcome him again in Bangalore", Rajan added, "All the paper works have been completed and Rohit will play for the team soon".
HAL is struggling in I-League this year and is yet to taste the first victory in 11 matches.
The amount of the deal, however, has not been made public.
GoalNepal.com has learned that Rohit will become the highest paid Nepalese football player abroad.
Speaking with GoalNepal.com, HAL coach, Muralidharan said, "Rohit is an outstanding player. He played with us last season and he helped us a lot to survive in I-League. I am happy to welcome him again here".
Rohit also expressed his happiness to join the team, HAL.
"I-League is a competitive football league in South Asia. We can learn a lot. I am excited to play again in I-League. I know the results of HAL in I-League are not good. I will give my best to win the matches for HAL".
Rohit Chand has now become the only Nepalese player, who plies his trade outside the Country this year.
