Laxmi Hyundai MMC caretaker Coach, Hari Om Shrestha said that he had directed Sandip Rai to take the penalty kick which they earned in the wee hours against Mega Three Star Club but Rai denied saying that opponent goalie, Kiran Chemzong knew about his kicking style as both of them were in National team squad for a long time.
Speaking with Reporters after the match against Mega Three Star Club which they played 1-1, Coach Shrestha said, "I had directed Sandip to take the shot but he denied it. He said opponent goalie, Kiran knew about his kicking style. Zambo then stepped in to take the shot".
Zambo Anatole hit the side pole leaving huge frustration among LH MMCs present at the stadium and the players and team officials at the bench. The draw quashed the hopes of LH MMC winning the Red Bull A Division National League. Cops became the league Champions with 20 points with one match in hand. LH MMC have 15 points in its kitty and will play its last match against Nepal Police Club on 23rd of January
"We can't blame anyone here", Coach Shrestha said, "The problem is the ground and rest for the players. The ground condition is the worst and we are playing every alternate days. How can all the teams play in such hectic schedule?".
"We had a chance to win the league title but we wasted it", Coach Shrestha added, "We will play for the win against Nepal Police Club in the last match of the league".
